Slayer, Queen, Judas Priest, Mastodon, Alice in Chains - utwory m.in. tych kapel odegramy w GH: Metallica oprócz klasyków kwartetu z Bay Area.

Gra obsługiwać będzie cały zestaw instrumentów z Guitar Hero World Tour - gitarę, bas, bębny i mikrofon. Pojawi się też poziom trudności Expert Plus, który zmusi do korzystania z podwójnej stopy w perkusji. Lista ujawnionych utworów wygląda następująco:
